Laserfiche announced that its executive board has appointed Chris Wacker as the company’s CEO and Karl Chan as the company’s president. Wacker, who has served as the company’s Executive Vice President since 2011, joined Laserfiche in 1987. He will take over the role from company founder Nien-Ling Wacker, who sadly passed away from a long-term illness on October 19.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nien-Ling Wacker, the founder of Laserfiche. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Nien-Ling loved Laserfiche and the Laserfiche community, and her singular vision of developing software that people love to use and creating a place people love to work are the foundation of Laserfiche. We know that the current Laserfiche leadership team will continue the work she loved so much and make the company, community and product that were so important to her stronger than ever.
